Neil Jethani is an MD/PhD Candidate mentored by Yin Aphinyanaphongs. Having completed his preclinical years of medical school, Neil joined PAU and the Aphinyanaphongs Lab in the summer of 2018. Since joining, he has been involved with retrospectively analysing EHR data as well as developing deep learning models for prediction tasks that ingest EHR data. Currently, he is interested in developing deep learning techniques that address the unique structure of EHR data.
Neil obtained a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2016. While at UCSD, Neil was involved in a number of projects spanning the fields of biomaterials engineering to methylomics.
